Today is World MSME day. Any nation is as industrially strong as their MSME sector. Many years back, when discussing with one of our OEM why India lacks in excellence of quality in plants and equipment, a wise experienced owner told me, In India, a basic item, best quality bolts are made by TVS, in Germany, their worst quality bolts are better than TVS. Many things have changed since than over the years and India has come a long way but we have still miles to go.At present, there are lot of talks by government to boost MSME, but on ground level, MSME sector continue their struggles. Large size companies, EPCs, Banks and PSU continue to dictate obsolete way of doing business and keep manipulating and transferring financial burden on MSME. If India has to really progress in a fair competitive way, Government need to make lot of cultural changes the way business is conducted in this country and on how MSME are treated. #india #MSME

This year, the prestigious ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India) National Council on IPR invited IPR Cell of JECRC University to the “IP Excellence Awards” at Global IP Conclave, New Delhi, where they conferred JECRC University with the “BEST University - IP Excellence Award”. Receiving this recognition in the presence of esteemed #IPR ecosystem enablers Prof. Unnat P. Pandit, Controller General of Patents, designs and Trademarks, GOI, Mr. Pravin Anand, Chairperson, Dr. Hemant Shah, Co – Chairperson, #ASSOCHAM National Council on IPR, Mr. John Cebeca, U.S. IP Council for South Asia, Mr. Hiroki Watanabe, Director IPR, JETRO and Dr. Shireshendu Mukharjee, Mission Director, BIRAC and the IPR Leads of the prominent Industries Mr. Jagannatahn S,Tata Motors, Ms Priya Rao, Siemens, Dr. Sadhna Srivastava, ICMR , Dr. P.S.R.C. Murthy, Neuland Labs, and renowned universities was a truly humbling experience. The award was presented by the Honourable Justice Mr. Anish Dayal, Delhi High Court. A large number of nominations were received from across India, both from #academia and #industry, and the 15 were chosen by Jury for conferring the awards. Our journey began two years ago with a strong mission – to contribute to the development of a sustainable IP ecosystem in India. We aimed to nurture and safeguard ideas for the next generation of #entrepreneurs and #innovators. That's when we established our IPR Cell, and the creative researches from 11 different schools at JECRC were instrumental in earning this award.But this recognition isn't just a #celebration; it's a #responsibility. We understand the importance of continuing to build and fortify the IPR #ecosystem for elevating the global rank of India in #Global Innovation Index (GII).And now, as we look forward we do so with a sense of determination. There's still so much to do, so many achievements to be aimed. But one thing's for sure – we're ready to elevate IP Ecosystem to the new heights.Here's to a future brimming with promise and possibility!
